CLC TEK 54 X

(Heavy Duty Rust Preventative)
Product Description: CLC Tek 54 X is a solvent based rust preventative, which leaves a light protective film, designed for indoor protection. CLC Tek 54 X has excellent water displacement properties, for use on parts directly after grinding or machining operations. The water from these operations readily separates from the CLC Tek 54 X and can be removed by staining and meets the requirements of MIL-C-16173D.

Application: CLC Tek 54 X is ideally suited for protection of in process parts which are wet with synthetic grinding coolants or soluble oils. The film dries rapidly and no heat is required. The light protective film does not interfere with gaging or subsequent operations. This product is not recommend for outdoor protection or other severe conditions, such as acidic fume environments.

CLC Tek 56 X

Product Description: CLC Tek 56-X is a solvent based rust preventative, which leaves a light protective film, designed for indoor protection. CLC Tek 56-X provides up to one year of indoor protection. CLC Tek 56-X has water displacement properties, for use on parts directly after grinding or machining operations. The water from these operations readily separates from the CLC Tek and can be removed by periodic draining of the bottom water layer.

CLC Tek 56-X will protect for 60 + days in a humidity cabinet and meets the requirements of MIL-C-16173 D (3). CLC Tek 56-X provides protection against black stain and neutralizes fingerprint corrosion.

Applications: CLC Tek 56-X is ideally suited for protection of in process parts, which are wet with synthetic grinding coolants or soluble oils. The film dries rapidly and no heat is required. The light protective film is not recommended for outdoor protection or other severe conditions, such as environments with acidic fumes. CLC Tek 56-X can be used as a penetrating oil and is effective in cleaning machine tools and gages.

CLC Tek HF 11

CLC Tek HF 11 is a light oil based rust preventative, which leaves a light protective film, designed for indoor protection. CLC Tek HF 11 has excellent water displacement properties, for use on parts directly after grinding or machining operations. The water from these operations readily separates from the CLC Tek HF 11 and can be removed by periodic draining of the bottom water layer. CLC Tek HF 11 is non-staining and can be mixed with heavy drawing oils to give added rust protection. CLC Tek HF 11 has a higher flash point than solvent based rust preventatives, which makes it safer to use in your plant.

CLC Tek HF 11 is ideally suited for protection of in process parts, which are wet with synthetic grinding coolants or soluble oils. The light protective film does not interfere with gauging or subsequent operations. CLC TEK PAL 4 WAY

CLC Tek Pal 4 Way penetrates, lubricates, prevents rust and displaces moisture.

CLC Tek Pal 4 Way displaces water for use on all metals. CLC Tek Pal 4 Way is a rust inhibitor lubricant for tools, molds, instruments, precision machined surfaces, dies, jigs, electronics, chains and cables.

CLC Tek Pal 4 Way stops corrosion and eliminates squeaks, it frees frozen bolts, locks and window regulators. It frees and lubricates valves, pulleys, meters and switches.

CLC Tek Pal 4 Way stops rust and lubricates appliances such as washers, dryers and air conditioners. It lubricates hand and power tools, lawn and garden tools, metal window cranks and hinges. Also, bicycles, guns, fishing tackle, golf carts and snowmobiles.

CLC Tek Pal 4 Way is effective down to -70 deg. F and conforms to military specifications Mil-C-16173C and Mil-C-81309 (WP).

 
 

Solvent Based - Outdoor Protection

CLC Tek ODA 14-40

CLC Tek ODA 14-40 is a dark colored, high melting, rubbery product which is used to provide long-term protection of metal surfaces. CLC Tek ODA 14-40 is applied as a solution in a volatile solvent. The residue film, after solvent evaporation, is highly resistant to salt water and salt spray, making it particularly useful in automotive rustproofing applications as well as industrial applications when parts or machinery are stored in sheds or unprotected areas.

CLC Tek ODA 14-40 has been used successfully as a replacement for Cosmoline. The major benefit is it is much easier to remove with any mineral spirits based solvent.

 
 

Synthetic Water Based Protection

CLC Tek AQ 500

CLC Tek AQ 500 is a water-based product designed to completely replace oil-based preventatives for indoor protection of equipment and components. This product should be used as is with no dilution required. Tek AQ 500 is applied to metal surfaces by spraying or dipping.

CLC Tek AQ 1000

CLC Tek AQ 1000 is a water-based product designed to completely replace oil-based preventatives for indoor protection of equipment and components. This product should be used as is with no dilution required. Tek AQ 1000 is applied to metal surfaces by spraying or dipping.

CLC Tek NSN 2025

CLC Tek NSN 2025 is a water-based rust preventative replacing solvent cutback thin-film preventatives currently used. Since it is water based, it overcomes the principal objection to solvent cutback types, fire hazard. Since this product is diluted with water, CLC Tek NSN 2025 works extremely well with hard water. In high iron and hard water areas we recommend using de-ionized water. The purer the water the less CLC Tek NSN 2025 is needed.

Field tests indicate a dilution ratio of 10:1 to 60:1 is optimum. CLC Tek NSN 2025 is practically odor less and is non-toxic. It is also treated to retard bacterial growth.

Water solutions of CLC Tek NSN 2025 deposit thin, transparent films, which remain after water evaporation. The coating is not easily fractured and possesses residual protective characteristics continuing even if part of the compound is wiped or rubbed from metal surfaces. Solutions can be heated to 160º F or applied cold.

A key feature of CLC Tek NSN 2025 is that it does not contain sodium nitrites.

 
 

Water Soluble Oil RP

CLC Tek 390

CLC Tek 390 is a water-soluble rust preventative replacing solvent cutback thin-film preservatives currently used. Since it is used in water-oil mixtures, it overcomes the principal objection to solvent cutback types: fire hazard. Due to dilution with water, rather than solvent, this product shows emulsion on water and will not re-emulsify after drying. This property accounts for the excellent water repellency of this product.

Field tests indicate a dilution ratio of 3 to 7 parts water to 1 part oil is satisfactory. CLC Tek 390 is practically odorless and is non-toxic. It is also treated to retard bacterial growth.

Water solutions of CLC Tek 390 deposit this transparent, polar films, which remain waxy after water evaporation. The coating is not easily fractured and possesses residual protective characteristics continuing even if part of the compound is wiped or rubbed from metal surfaces. Due to surface-active properties, the coating will creep over uneven or unclean surfaces to insure a continuous film. Thus it can be used on porous metals and parts with deep crevices. Solutions can be heated to 160ºF or applies cold.
